Detailed report on the trial of John Whitelocke by court martial held in Chelsea College on Thursday 28th January 1808 and succeeding days. 214 pages plus 12 page appendixin overall clean condition just some dustiness and light marks to last couple of pages and slight browningto others. Last page of appendix has small losses top and bottom of page, the bottom is in blank margin to top is around 2 inches diagonally across the top corner and results in some missing wording.Map of Buenos Ayres at front in good condition, some marking to front endpapers and printed name of previous owner pasted on inside front board. Outer boards are rubbed and worn with cracks down the hinges of the leather spine. Though not perfect still a pleasing copy of a collectable antiquarian original book SEE IMAGE. Presentation handwritten INSCRIPTION from author on inside front board E ?????? Esq with Mr Harston's compliments 21st November 1917. Where qustion marks are I cannot decipher name possibly Hurd.
