Pages are clean and bright just a few pencil annotations which can easily be removed if wished,very light foxing to first page in volume one and with kindest regards (see page 110) written in ink in volume 2. In volume one pages 129 to 144 a block of folded sheets are loose in the book,still attached by original cord binding but come out a a few millimetres, small sticker on front endpaper of each book, rear endpaper in volume one paper has a few splits at hinge but the hinge is sound, only the paper split.
